Enjoying my last days

Hi Everyone

I'm enjoying last few days in Europe here. Yesterday Claire took me for my first trip outside of County Dublin!! Claire, the girls and I all clammered in the car after lunch and headed south on the motorway. We went to Glendalough (pronounced Glen- da- laa) in County Wicklow. It was this really cool site with all these old graves and a church and tower. We went into the little mini-museum at the center and watched the little movie, but I didn't learn much because there was a huge tour group there that talked through the whole thing... I do know that Glendalough is where St. Kevin was and he did something with St. Patrick (who is by far my favorite saint...he got rid of snakes!!)
After we wandered around for a bit, we got back in the car and headed back north. On the way, we made a stop at this giant restaurant/shop place. The restaurant was mostly deserts. The girls each got a huge piece of chocolate cake, Claire got some kind of pie, and I got an eclaire. Now this was no normal eclaire, this was the most intense eclaire ever made! I had to lay it on it side and cut it length wise, then still use a fork and knife to tackle this thing. Needless to say it was delicious, amazing, and I believe is served in heaven!!
Once we finished filing our tummys, we looked around the massive shop. I was bored, but everyone else had a good time. It's one of those country shops that I could see my Mom and her family thoroughly enjoying, while I stayed with the desert. = ).
After browsing for awhile, Claire and I dragged the girls (litterally had to drag) back to the car. We then headed further north back into County Dublin. We went to Dun Laoghaire (pronounced Dun Leer-ee) which is right on the sea. We ate at an amazing burger place, then took a night walk on the pier! It was late by then so we headed on back. It was a good, but long day.
Today I was uber-productive! I've done laundry, gotten mostly packed, went into the city center for the last time, and met up with Tanja (my aupair friend) to say goodbye!
I'll try and get one last blog in before I head back to the states!!
I'm including a video fo the girls at the Sugar Tree Cafe, showing off their massive deserts. Also don't be afraid if their skin looks slightly off color, we did facepainting on Friday and still can't get it all completely off...
Talk to you all later
-J

It sounds like you are having a great last few days. I can tell that the family is going to miss you. Let me know when you are heading home. I hope you have a great flight home. I cant wait to see the photos and hear the stores. Just fill you in on this side of that big pond. I finally got a job!!!!! And starting it tomorrow. I am going to be the director of sales for a local hotel. We are to be getting some snow tonight. It matters if it goes more to the west or the east. I hope all is well. Cant wait to see you!!!
